this song is about both growing up exploring my old cluttered, spooky attic and the last night I spent in the house I grew up in. on that night, August 20st 2013, I went on the roof, which was past the door that had the dusty old window.

I had just finished packing up the remains of my former life, ready to ship out to Chicago that morning (it was already 5:30am). I pulled up a lawn chair and stared at the stars in Fair Lawn, NJ, knowing that it'd be the final time in 18 years I'd be able to take that spot.
